As it always happens at the same point in the disc it is probably a disc pressing problem. The DTS droputs you have heard about on LD are usually problems with the laser not tracking correctly. What you have sounds like a problem with the disc being pressed badly.

On a different note, what is the source of this demo? Can you please pass on details of whence it came?
