: Well, I went into the new WalMart superstore across the river today and asked the head of the electronics department when they were going to have Divx. He said, what????

If CC were in discussions with Wal-Mart at a high level do you really think that the local store guy would know? I think not. If you read the well informed sources on the web you would see that the evidence that they are in discussions is pretty strong.

: This is two days before Thanksgiving. No sign of Dumbivx anywhere near WalMart. I really think their management is too smart to waste high-volume floor space on a no-volume, overpriced, overcomplicated lawyer-designed piece of s*** like Divx.

Oh please, just blame the lawyers again - even though the LA firm is the co-owner of DIVX with CC, I suspect that they have only been involved in the complex aspect of protection of intellectual property rights part of DIVX. By all means knock DIVX for all its many flaws, but not just because lawyers had a hand in putting it together.
