DIVX is fine for me

That's assuming you can get the DVD since DIVX will divide the market. In addition, if you would buy DVDs, why would you want to pay more for the rental and the player ($100 more for the player and $1 more for the rental?) Guess it's to get a great brand name like RCA, huh.

Why not just rent them and throw them away right away. For the quality of the players available and all the extra circuitry required for protection, that's where they belong to start with.
