Hi David,

You speak with such flare my friend.
To bad a guy with such intelligence doesn't do his homework.

The Sony XBR200 series has absolutely NO visible scan lines! Not even from 5 inches
away. Your Toshiba has them. Every Toshiba I saw had them. From the least expensive
to the most expensive. Toshiba's line doubler doesn't work well.

I think you should take a look at the XBR specs. You need to catch up buddy.
YES it has a line doubler.

"New Innovations Enhance Big Screen TVs In big-screen TVs, two
new Videoscope XBR models feature two exclusive Sony technologies,
Digital Reality Creation and Multi Image Driver. DRC doubles a picture’s
horizontal and vertical resolution, providing improved picture quality
(nearly eliminating today’s scanning lines) and upgrades conventional TV
signals to near-HDTV picture quality.

The MID technology will convert standard video source signals to a
higher resolution picture quality. It also simultaneously displays analog or
digital TV signals in several, flexible picture-in-picture functions (for
instance, twin picture-in-picture and freeze mode), while ensuring the
highest image quality from both sources. Other upgrades in the
Videoscope XBR line include a new, full-digital autofocusing system
(which focuses and converges the picture in up to 15 seconds) and a new
express navigator menu system to make set-up easy. "

Toshiba simply doesn't make a good TV period. Don't let SungHo fool you. Go out to a
store and see for yourself. The Mitsubishi's and the Hitachi's all looked much better than
the Toshiba's. I've been to over 6 stores that sell the new Toshiba's and they all looked
poor.

Simply, judge for yourself.
