I have a 2108 with a Yamaha DSP-A1, and I experience occasional audio drop-outs with Dolby Digital, not analog. They're infrequent, maybe twice every couple of DVD plays. They last about half of a second. I think there may be faulty 2108s, and I got one of them. I haven't yet decided what to do. I may get a Sony 7700 when theyr'e available and give the 2108 to my nephew.

: I currently ownt the Toshiba 2108 and was considering buying either the Sony DA 30ES or DA 50ES, but I read in the SMR/amps&receivers section that there were problems with this combination, ie. sound dropouts. I'd like to know if anyone else has this combo and had similar problems.

: Is this an isolated problem with this dvd player/receiver combo or does it happen with other combo's?
