Got my XBR200

The problem is that factory-set Toshibas look awful. Every one I've seen, other than one ISF-calibrated at a specialty A/V store, look mediocre - dimmish, grainy, and the line doubler giving everything the creepy-crawlies.

The calibrated one was a completely different animal - bright and clean and with no apparent doubler artifacts. I gather that the doubler is provoked into misbehavior by excessive contrast settings and/or the velocity scan modulation (disabled in the cal'd set).

I did find the picture softyer than I like; this was last years model and I undserstand that the new ones are sharper.
