: You speak with such flare my friend.
: To bad a guy with such intelligence doesn't do his homework.

I did know the XBR200 series had a "line doubler", but didn't realize even the 53" little brother YOU bought had it!

: The Sony XBR200 series has absolutely NO visible scan lines! Not even from 5 inches

Actually, you WANT to see scan lines from close up; it's a sign that you're not exceeding the resolution of your display causing overlapping scan lines, reducing the sharpness of the display.

: Toshiba simply doesn't make a good TV period. Don't let SungHo fool you. Go out to a
: store and see for yourself. The Mitsubishi's and the Hitachi's all looked much better than
: the Toshiba's. I've been to over 6 stores that sell the new Toshiba's and they all looked
: poor.

Well, you'll find that you're pretty much alone in calling Toshiba's picture "poor." You may like the shiny, bright picture of Sony, but people who know home theater (Home Theater magazine) will tell you different. And the forward-looking, HDTV-compatible Toshibas are the way to go.

: Simply, judge for yourself.

: Mac PB G3 owner.... at least we agree on one thing.

We agree on two things, James. Aside from the superiority of Macintosh, I agree that everyone should judge for himself rather than listen to fools like us.
