It seems like the dropouts would be repeatable if that were true. The idea seems plausable, though. Although the DSP-A1 doesn't have a digital selection for DVD (just Auto detect), it has an option for that input called Last which I'll try. If that doesn't work, I'll try hooking it to the designated Laser Disk inputs which allow a specific Digital selection. If this stuff works, I'll sing the praises of the 2108.
