Pioneer 414 - audio problem

Just got this unit and am happy with the dvd playback, but 1 audio cd my wife put on, celine dion - these are special times , 2nd track play with a severe crackling sound.
A replaced cd did the same, and this cd plays fine on my computers cd.

Any thoughts.
Anyone else having audio cd problems?

btw. the remote is very poorly layed out and has small buttons.
