Telex Firefly LDC Projector Bulb Swap?

Does anyone out there know if it is possible to change the bulb to increase the picture brightness in a Telex P250 to a Metal Halide bulb like they use in the Telex 350? If so are there any modifications that must be done, such as a socket change or is it a direct replacement? Please email reply to kenvc@msn.com and thanks in advance for the info.
