DVD or Dedicated CD Player?

I am interested in purchasing a DVD & CD Player, however, I was wondering if it is wise to invest in a DVD Player that I can also play CD's on.

I was considering the Sony DVP-C600D Player because it is a 5 disc player.

I have the Yamaha 793 receiver and I have no interest in DTS.
