Sony KP53XBR200 Problem! Any Ideas? Posted by Jeff P [IP: 205.188.198.153] on November 28, 1998 at 20:17:13: I got my sony kp53xbr200 two weeks ago, and it has been great, but the other day I noticed a strange thing on the screen. When I stop my DVD player, or input any signal that is one color, I noticed a vertical bar that is about 1-2 inches wide that goes from the top of the screen to the bottom. Perfectly straight about one foot in from the right. You can see the picture through the bar (it isn't black), but you can see the egdes of the bar , it looks almost like the screen is dented. It isn't, and it doesn't matter what cables or signal sources I use, the bar is still there. I can even see it when watching normal TV now though it is often impossible to see. Does anyone have any ideas about what is going on? I have already contacted sony and someone will eventually come out to look at it, but if it is a simple fix, I'd like to take care of it.
