DTS from non-DTS DVD Player?

Posted by Michael S. Gilmore [IP: 212.211.25.20] on November 29, 1998 at 00:48:44:

I was recently told the some DVD players, in particular the Sony S7000, that have the high bit rate decoders can pass the DTS signal.

Is this true? By true, I mean, has anyone hooked up a S7000 to a DTS decoder and played a DTS CD and got the receiver to output DTS?

Thanks in advance,

Michael
