Michael,

: Is this true? By true, I mean, has anyone hooked up a S7000 to a DTS decoder and played a DTS CD and got the receiver to output DTS?

Nearly all Red-book compatible Compact Disc players can output a DTS signal digitally from DTS music discs (what you're erroneously calling "CDs"). As DVD-Video players can also play Red-book Compact Discs (in the true sense of the term) they'll also play DTS music discs.

You require a DTS compatible player for it to recognise the DTS data within the MPEG multiplex of DVD-Video discs however.

Stuart.
