Larry,

There are one or two DVD players that can select the 5.1 soundtrack for you. They do this by defaulting to the audio carrier with the highest number of discrete channels. I reviewed a machine that did this but I can't remember which one... uh... if you really wish to know which one it was I'll read through my notes for you. ;-)
