Hi Bob - Have you given any thought to an LCD front projector? I work for Sharp, and we sell a number of our projectors to visually impaired individuals, as you can make the screen very large, and still get an exceptionally clear image. Sharp has a model called the XV-C10U, which has a suggested list price of about $2,000. It can be used with any projection screen (or even projected on a regular white wall). This model can project on screen sizes up to 150" (diagonal).
