Hi Ken - It is not possible to replace the halogen lamp in your projector with a metal halide lamp. It would require a total re-design of the unit - and might also create an electrical fire hazard. It honestly would be cheaper (and better) to sell the unit you have, and purchase a new projector that comes equipped with a metal halide lamp. A metal halide lamp provides much longer life (approx. 40-times the life - - - no exaggeration!) as well as far superior image quality (without the 'yellowish' tint a halogen lamp provides.)
