What do I need to hook up a Laserdisc???

I have 1 optical output available and have a Yamaha APD-1 RF DEMODULATOR. The laser disc has a RF Out.
My LD player is in a separate rack. Should the Demodulator go next to the receiver or the LD player?
What kind of cables do you recommend?
