LD purchase: Pioneer LD-59 or CLD-D606?

I have an opportunity to purchase either of the above units (new in the box) for about $500. Can anyone give me a suggestion which one is better? I know the 59 is an 'Elite' piece but I believe that is is also a little older, in a vintage sense. Thanks in advance.
