I love widescreen. I do not miss the action and subtleties cut off the ends in format conversion to 4:3. The black bars do not bother me because the wider aspect ratio draws me into the film...It is almost like I am being drawn in the glass tube and a eyewitness. Compare some great movies side-by-side and you'll see what your missing. 4:3 is like watching a box , a box that focuses on the actor speaking not the scene and the mood and feeling associated.
I have been waiting forever for widescreen TV to take over so I can have widescreen without black bars (at least huge ones).
