Surge Protector/Line Conditioner Recommendations

Seems like there are a thousand brands and models of surge protectors out there. Makes you wonder just how hard it is to make one and just how important it is. I must have 10 different ones and not really sure which ones are really good.

Curious to know what surge protectors people think are the top brands/lines.

Which are the best and which ones should we stay away from?

Anybody have any horror stories?

Anybody actually have damage through one with a guarantee? Did they live up to the guarantee? Was it a hassle?
