I have owned a 606 since July and think very highly of its picture quality and features. I note, however, that your setup lacks a receiver with 5.1 inputs, which makes the Dolby Digital decoder in the 606 superflous for you. However, if you can pick up a cheap receiver with 5.1 analog inputs, you can get use the 606 to decode Dolby Digital movies.

If not, you might as well look at the new Pioneer 414, which has component outputs, DTS outputs, the same quality picture and features, for less money because it lacks the Dolby Digital decoder on-board. Had it been available in July, I would have bought it myself (because I have a Dolby Digital preamp downstream).

I can't speak to zones/macrovision as its not an issue for me. Good luck!
