SONY VPH-D50Q Posted by Donald Bennett [IP: 156.153.255.194] on December 11, 1998 at 19:57:56: In Reply to: SONY VPH-D50Q posted by Paul V on December 11, 1998 at 01:39:51: Paul, Rent or borrow a thermal couple, cold junction reference and a meter. Then make measurements of the projectors discharge air and note the ambient temp. Then enclose the unit and make the same measurements. An increase of greater than 5 degrees is probably bad and cooler would be better. Don : Have had my VPH-D50Q floor mounted for just about a year. Recently built a table to house it and control dust. Was wondering if anybody else has done this. : Box is power ventilated with filtered air from 4" fan. Would like to know if anybody has experience with any heat build up or other problems in such an installation. Considering going to a larger fan. : Thanks : Paul V
