I need a TV...please advise

I am moving in 9 days into a one bedroom apartment...550 sq. ft.(small, I know). I have NOT seen the living room yet, but I know I don't want to stare at scan lines until I puke...so I don't want to go bigger than 36". My budget is simple: no more than $1000 retail. I have been considering the Toshiba CX32H60 for it's component inputs (which I could mate with my 3107 DVD player). I have also given the Sony KV32...(can't remember the number) some thought, which I found on sale for $550.

I don't care about picture in picture, sound quality, flatness of the screen, or any "smart" features that I will never use. I will be controlling the TV with my Elite receiver remote, so I am not too concerned with the remote either. I just want an excellent picture. 90% of my TV watching is DVD.

As with any home theater purchase of mine, the aforementioned price "limit" is not set in stone. I wouldn't have spent $4100 bucks on my HT already if that were true.
