I CAN'T GET CONNECTED!

While I always considered myself pretty good at making connections of the equipment I've purchesed over the years, I've now run into problems.

I just bought the Panasonic 310 which I want to connect to my Denon 3200 and Hitachi RPTV..

I previously used Monster products. I went to a local retailer which sells them and Immediately ran into problems.

First he tried to get me to buy composite. Second he said I needed 3 pairs.

I was thinking I needed 2 CO-AX-one to the Denon and the other to the TV.

What am I missing?

Can anyone give straightforward opinions. He said if I didn't do the set up he recommended, I wouldn't be able to use the DVD like my VCR...Instead I'd have to make the TV into a monitor to operate It In the DVD mode.

Please help.
