Proscan HDTV with DSS STB

Anyone seen any recent information on the Thompson (RCA, Proscan) HDTV? It's supposed to be able to connect through RGB to a STB which receives both DirectTV PPV and USSB HBO movies from the satellite and local off the air HDTV broadcasts. Standard RGB inputs on the monitor will allow computer-based DVD-ROM to output progressive hires DVD-Video (480p or higher). Why don't all of the new HDTV RPTVs use standard RGB like the front projectors?
