New RPTV....4:3 or 16:9????

I agree with all that has been said here.
Although it may be closer to 8-10 years
before we see any real content in the 16:9
ratio. My brother is going to buy the new
Wide Screen Toshiba but he's only going to
watch DVD on it. He has a regular set
upstairs for cable programs. If it was me
I'd wait for a few years. Point of intrest.
In Canada they really haven't set a standard
fot DTV yet. I've read that the Digital
Satelite providers are going to broadcasting
some material in the 2nd quarter of the new year.

Jay Leno is shot with HTDV cameras in 16:9
but very few people can see it.When Shaw Cable
shows a movie in widscreen format
the phone never stops ringing. People don't understand.
They think there's something wrong with
the picture.
