Are you talking some of the PPV? I
know i've seen the occasional lbx on
Showcase or Bravo....
I got that info from the person at Shaw.
I asked her if they had any plans to broadcast
in DTV or 16:9. She told me that they had shown
some movies in that format on Super Channel but a lot of
people had complained. I'm going to try
Star choice in a month or two when they
don't have a back order of the new Decoders.
They're cabable of DD and a few other tricks.
Plus Star Choice is launching a new satelite
in the new year so I'm hopeing the picture
will be better. I guess Shaw still gets my money
since they have a controlling interest in Star choice.
The whole situation !ucks. Why can't the CRTC get
the ball rolling and set a stadard then have the
local networks adhere to it. Then again CBC is still
in Mono so I don't think they could afford
to broadcast in DTV. It sure would be awesome
watching a hockey game in DTV widescreen.
