Combo LD-DVD players w/DD and DTS; dreaming?

First off only Pioneer and Theta (based on Pioneer) make LD/DVD player combos. The Theta (Voyager) is $6500.

What do you mean by "do DTS"? If you mean have a built-in DTS decoder then no LD/DVD combo or stand alone DVD player has a built in DTS decoder. All that DTS compatibility designates is the ability to extract the DTS soundtrack from the MPEG amalgam and output it to an external DTS decoder. I am fairly sure that the newer Pioneer LD/DVD combos do this, but check the Pioneer web site to be sure.
