Nigel; I viewed Pioneers web page and they do indeed have combination players that output the DD and DTS streams. I chose to upgrade my existing player by adding an AC3RF board and I purchased a Kenwood demodulator. The K Demodulator has inputs for both AC3RF and DTS/DD optical/coaxial; it auto switches to the active input.
All on order and awaiting....
