Chad,

I have the Toshiba 2108, and like it very much. The 2108 has exactly all the features I was looking for. I wanted a mid-range DVD Player with component video-out as well as DTS out. The only problem I had with the unit was the picture fading on some movies. And that was my fault because I had the player connected to my VCR, which caused the Macro-Vision copy protection to screw up the picture. But that is no longer the case and I am just loving the Toshiba SD-2108 DVD Player.

BTW, The rest of my system includes: Kenwood VR2090, Optimus Pro LX8 (Linaum Speakers) for front and surround; these are kick ass speakers for the price, Optimus SW100 Powered Subwoofer. My next purchase will be a Toshiba 43" rear projection TV with component video.

I hope this info was helpful in your choice of a video system.

: Obviously the Panasonic has been highly recommended, does anyone own this new Toshiba? Or does anyone have any opinions?
