Sony 7000 v. Pioneer DV-09

The DV-09 has a pretty unique mechanism, it may not matter so much if you are using the dig out, but for DVD playback, I'd pick out the 09 over sony anyday. i would consider the DV-09 comparable to the Theta product not sony. The new DV-05 will compare very well to the sony stuff.

: I'm not sure which is better, but you should know that the 7000's replacement, the 7700 will be out in November. So it would probably be better to compare the 7700 when it comes out with the Pioneer DV-09.
