Look at the Sony VPL-W400Q at $3800 from Camera World. It has 1.5million pixels, 600 lines, no pixel structure visible at 8 feet, and is designed for 16:9 or 4:3 with a good built in scaler, and a line doubler.

: The best LCD projector I've seen to date is the Pioneer RVD-XG10 ($6495). It's got a uniform picture and NEAR-INVISIBLE pixel structure (virtually no gridlines). On top of this, there are also no NTSC scan lines due to effective line accumulation by the scaling hardware. The resolution of 1024x768 (with its freedom from pixel structure) is excellent for the price. It produces 800 ANSI lumens with only a 150W Novarc lamp. The downside is that its scaling hardware isn't fantastic, and with DVD fed via SVHS, there is flicker/wander of high contrast borders such as text. To compensate for this shortcoming, a better scaler will be necessary (such as the new Deuce from Communications Specialists, $2200, or the TranScanner from Dwin, $7500 MSRP).

: In my opinion, a combination of the RVD-XG10 and a decent scaler will give a VERY good picture at large sizes (up to 200 or 300 inches). If it's HUGE you want (not 100") and your budget is under $10K, this is your best bet.
