New to rear proj tv and have a line dblr question>

Hi. Thanks in advance for your responses. Net forums are a great place for info, and this is my 1st post to this one.

I just bought a Mitsu 50" rear (AXD series) projection tv, and I'm curious about line doublers. The picture quality is pretty good, except for the horizontal banding that is apparently unavoidable in larger 'conventional' TVs. I couldn't afford the hot-rod sets, (nice set=$3500+, we were stuck with a budget of <$2500))and I wonder about the possibility of adding a line-doubler to the set in the future, and what that would cost. Any info is GREATLY appreciated. I hope that I didn't waste my $$ and maybe should have saved for a really nice set in the future. This is the first new TV I've ever bought, and I'm excited to join the ranks of you other home theatre enthusiasts. Should be a great ride.
