The cheapest way to get a doubler is built in to the set.

The cheapest standalone doubler that I know about is the IEV Turboscan; it's $2K.

If it's not too late to return or exchange your set, there's the new Toshiba TP61H95 HD-ready set with built-in doubler for about $3K.

Or last years TP61G90 with doubler but no digital input should be findable in the low $2K area. Good Guys had a floor model for $1700.
