Antenna cable interferance

Posted by James Dubinsky [IP: 12.13.226.13] on October 29, 1998 at 04:05:37:

I have a terrestrial (old fasioned roof top antenna) for picking up my local
broadcasts and lately I start getting a fuzzy picture over a day or two. By
swapping spare coaxes from the wall plate to the TV I get a clear picture
for a day or two then have to swap cables again like static electricity is
building up. This has just started happening in the last couple of months.
The TV has been connected like this for 3 years with no problem before. I tried
replacing the coax with good monster cable no difference. Could this be a bad
antenna ground, or a power source, TV ground? Any help/direction would be
apperciated.
Thanks James D.
