NTSC TV ?

I've just bought a sony dvd player
DVP-S305. Altough it was written on TV
manual, that it supports NTSC, I can watch zone-1 DVD's (NTSC) in black&white. My Tv is also Sony (KV -A2121D). Is there any way to change the TV's system, that I missed. Thank You ?
