Pioneer elite dv-05 vs sony s7000

I havent heard much about the Pioneer elite dv-05 but have heard rave reviews on the quality of its big brother the DV-09.
My qustion is the DV-05 comparable in video and audio quality of the Sony S7000. I know the new sony is coming out soon but they have pushed the released date to Feb. of 99.
Any info is appreciated. Thanks
