I own a KP41-S4 for a several months now. I had to replace my old TV and wanted to buy a 37" Thompson 4:3 50Hz( I don't like the picture of most 100Hz Tvsets). Next to the TV stood the Sony and as soon as I was sure it had a 16/9 mode I knew what to buy. With good sources (DVD, LD's) the image quality is stunning. VHS-movies naturally don't look especially good with this unit. For that price and size, however, I don't think you can get anything better. I used to look my dvd's on a Sharp front projector (XV370P), which I sold after having viewed the first dvd on the Sony. There were some reviews of the KP41S4 in french and german magazines and they all said the picture quality was incredible. Minus points were mostly lacking special features (no PIP, no Dolby Prologic...) and the sound quality (which in my opinion is not bad).
