It is possible the CRT may need a manual degaussing,however,the rotation problem suggests the yoke may have shifted on the CRT neck. This would also acount for the purity (discoloration spots)problem you describe.This repair should be done by Sony authorized service since your set is in warranty.You should have a near perfect screen geometry and color purity with a set like that.Accept no less!
