I don't recall seeing a setting in the menus for degaussing the set. I'm not sure what "manual" degaussing refers to (I know many computer monitors have a button or menu item to degauss the monitor), but is this something that might be accessible through the service menu? I could give that a shot before having it serviced. I'd like to avoid having to carry that set up and down three flights of stairs myself! :)
