Sorry. I haven't seen the Hitachi HDTV-ready. Based on my observation of SMR, Digital Theater, and Home Theater fora, the most popular digital ready TVs seem to be as follows:

16:9 aspect: Toshiba TW65H80, Pioneer 700HD, Panasonic PT-56WXF90, Mitsubishi 65903

4:3 aspect: Mitsubishi 50803, Toshiba TP61H95

In the forthcoming category -- the most talked about digital-ready sets are two Toshiba sets due late Spring / early Summer - the Toshiba 40 and 56" widescreens. I also heard a rumor this past week that Pioneer would be introducing a 55-56" widescreen.

BTW, have you decided on aspect ratio yet? To me, the decision about 4:3 vs. 16:9 is a tough one.
