The DVP-7000 can only output DTS CD audio and not DTS DVD audio. An upgrade may be available in the future from MSB Technology, but it may not be cost effective. The new Toshiba 2109 looks like it will be a great unit for only around $250 street price.

I almost got a Toshiba 2108 but in 5 minutes it had several audio dropouts! The 2109 is supposed to fix that and is lower cost. The 2108 had good audio and video when compared to the DVP-7000 IMHO.
