The sony site lists many features such as the SmoothscanTM Picture Search with 32-Bit RISC Microprocessor which allows smoother searching, a nice illuminated remote, and several other nice features. It does have more outputs than the dv414 but only useful if you want to have multiple video and audio outputs. The dv414 only has one analog audio output and one composite video output, the Sony has two of each. It has alot of nice convenience features but I think the main thing to look for are the following: 10-Bit Video,96 kHz/24-Bit Audio D/A Converter, DD and DTS out, and component out(if you have TV w/this input). The 7700, 414, a110(no component) all have these. Tthere have been no reviews on it that I have seen. I think DVD standards are going to continue to change so is it worth the extra price(400US) if you are going to end up buying another machine in 2yrs.
