dvd audio player

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; AOL 4.0; Windows 95):

I would like to buy a dvd player but I understand that a "dvd audio" format is pending and only "universal" players will playback. Shouldn't I wait for the new players to be released later this year?
