First, I am not very familiar with the "Z1" projector, as it currently is not sold in the U.S.

Regarding the problem you experienced, I don't think it should have any affect on bulb life. If the bulb was staying "on" after the projector was shutting down, then there might be some affect. However, because everything (including the lamp) was shutting down, I don't think there would be any unusual extra wear to the lamp.
