Marc,
I have a three year old 60" Ultravision
and experience the same problem. Noticed it right from the start. I would have called service ( I have an
extended contract ) to check it out but I found out, contrary to what I recall the salesman telling me at time of sale, that I don't have in-home service.
What a joke for a set that weighs in at 360 pounds ! The service dept explained the policy by saying they couldn't do decent diagnostic work at the customer's home.

Sorry, I rant. Back to the issue - I do
recall hearing about this or reading about it somewhere, that this is an internal reflection problem, not dust on the lenses. Here's anther way to test this theory - select any video input, Video1, Video2, doesn't matter which, but be sure to have the video sources turned off so that the screen is black instead of bright blue. With a very low light level in the room, you should be able to faintly see a mirror image of the text "Video1" in the diagonally opposite corner. On my set, the text "VIDEO1" is displayed in green in the upper right-hand corner. With the screen blackened because I have the Video1 source turned off, I can faintly see the word "VIDEO1" in the lower left-hand corner.

Some day I will get brave enough and go inside and put black felt down on the walls to cut down the reflections. They can be annoying !
