Hi Oleus,

The reason I asked what set you had was to help me identify whether or not your wavy lines are indeed another problem.

What you are seeing is called Moire. There's very little you can do to completely remove this problem. Some sets display this problem worse than others. It is most noticeable during scenes with a lot of detail. It is also dependent on the DVD source material.
