DTS had threatened to sue the WG-4 group but I think that has blown over now. Last I heard for DVD audio players and discs was end of this year.

The one remaining issue is that the format for the digital connection between player and processor has yet to be agreed, though some flavour of bi-directional firewire is the hot favourite. Of course a digital connection will be essential if you have a digital processor as using the analogue outputs (if any) from such a dvd-audio player will require the processor to convert back to digital thus defeating the whole object of the exercise in the first place.

I guess at around the same time we'll see MLP capable processors as well.
