The RF input is only for the ac-3 rf output from a laserdisc player not for DD output from DVD. You will need a coax to toslink converter, as mentioned in my forum 5 post.

Then go and give the salesman who sold you the cable hell for not asking about possible mismatch between your output and input. You will need a toslink cable, converter and coax cable to hook this up properly.
